For a candidate moving from another state, review the California Veterinary Medical Board’s veterinarian applicant information. Applicants who did not graduate from UC Davis or Western University of Health Sciences must also complete the California Veterinary Law Examination, an open-book test on the California Veterinary Medicine Practice Act.
